Minidiscs: Sony MD Walkman MZ-R70
Sony introduced the Minidisc in 1991. I was initially reluctant to use Minidisc recorders, for reasons I now cannot remember at all, perhaps cost. However, I eventually moved on to making recordings using a Minidisc MD Walkman MZ-R70. I am not sure when I bought mine, but I believe it was soon after this model came out which was January 2000.

The one limitation which was very irritating with this generation of MD Walkmans was that you could not download recordings from it to a computer in any other way than via an analog audio cable connection. But as I was used to this from editing recordings from the WM-D6C I did not think much of it.

For more information on Minidisc Recorders see the wonderful minidisc.org site at: http://www.minidisc.org/part_Sony_MZ-R70.html
