Seventy Thousand Pilgrims Arrive
Gaya, 24 September (Dainik
Jagran). The arrival of pilgrims to the sacred site of Gaya is now
almost continuous. Today, the third day of the pilgrimage, reliable
sources say that so far seventy thousand pilgrims have arrived.
From the beginning of the fair on the 22nd the arrival of pilgrims has
been almost uninterrupted. According to the priests' sources the pilgrims
from several states have not yet set off. Whilst the pace of the arrival
of pilgrims may be very slow it is continuous. The priests are expecting
a fair harvest. Meanwhile the district Public Information officer, K.
K. Upadhyaya, has advised that so far seventy thousand pilgrims have
arrived.
