Vimalasara Claims to
be Victim of Police Excess
Gaya, 3 June. Controversial Buddhist Monk Vimalasara claims to be a victim of police excess. He will soon be judged by the court.
The Venerable Vimalasara has been imprisoned in the prison ward of the medical college for the last three weeks. This evening Vimalasara claimed that the charges against him of corruption and racketeering were utterly baseless. Ven. Vimalasara said that he had disciples and followers throughout the world and because of this there was nothing special about him having six Lakhs of rupees in his bank account. He said that there were no toilet facilities for prisoners in the prison ward which was worrisome.
