Scattered incidents in the Naxalite affected areas during Holi. Imamganj, 30 March. In view of the activities of the banned Naxalite movement the MCC amidst special security arrangements. Holi was peacefully celebrated apart from isolated incidents. The Dubahal and Yamuna village communities of Imamganj were reported as having a flare up. Intoxicated youths beat up several people in Dumariya area of Imamganj, due to which there was fighting between the residents of Dubahal and Yamuna.
In Raniganj there was a vast celebration function for Holi attended by many leading people.
In Bankebazar a Suresh Prasad was injured during a fight whilst the Holi Bonfire was burning and there were other incident which the Police Superintendent Mr Yadava blamed on drunkness due to the open sale of liquor.
